The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the umpire and match referee for the pool stage matches of the #World Cup2015, a press release issued today said..
Nigel Llong and Marais Erasmus will be the on-field umpires for the tournament opener between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Christchurch on 14 February 2015.Simon Fry and S Ravi will be the 3RD and 4TH umpires respectively while David Boon will be the match referee for #WorldCup2015
On the same day Kumar Dharmasena and Aleem Dar will feature in the day-night match between Australia and England. Billy Bowden will be the 3rd Umpire and Joel Wilson will be the 4th umpire. Jeff Crowe will be the match referee for this match.
Apart from the four umpires in action on the opening day Bruce Oxenford, Ian Gould, Paul Reiffel, Richard Illingworth, Richard Kettleborough, Rod Tucker and Steve Davis will feature during the event of #WorldCup2015
All the TWELVE members of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires are available for the World Cup 2015
Wilson and Fry, Ravi are members of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires. They will be joined by Johan Cloete, Michael Gough, Ranmore Martinesz,Chris Gaffaneyand and Ruchira Palliyaguru during ICC’s pinnacle event.
